Czech Conference 2015

Czech Conference

Czech Conference

Rita and I are now sitting in the KLM Airport Lounge in Amsterdam, Netherlands; we are on our way back to our home in Upstate New York. In my mind, I am trying to remember the high points of our recently finished weeklong conference held in the mountains of Moravia, in the northeast corner of the Czech Republic. This conference begins one week following the weekend conference we had in Berlin, Germany.

If we consider the weather in the area of the conference, we could say that it was perfect for late October, with beautiful daytime sunshine and clear skies and a beautiful full moon that waxed and began to wane during the week. This gathering was truly well represented internationally by 10 nations: Czech, UK, Germany, Nigeria, Uganda, Ukraine, Philippines, Switzerland, United States and Slovakia. We were told that over 120 souls had registered and the meeting room was full for both morning and evening meetings. There were both “hotel” rooms and cottages available on the “resort” grounds and meals were available in the dining hall.

A high point for me in particular was meeting the three young people from Ukraine and hearing Max’s testimony of how the Lord delivered him from the path towards hell. We also heard Kamil tell how he was spared death by less than an inch from a rushing electric tram and caused him to repent. Nancy had a good word on spiritual warfare by putting on the whole armor of God as a skit with the children. Many children came up front to join the musicians and singers during the praise. Chijioke also had 2 meetings with the older youth instructing them in the principles of holy marriage, examining the scriptures, in which there was good participation and much interest, as many are maturing into young adults.

Spiritual exercise is very necessary; but bodily exercise is needed as well. So, most of the afternoons were set aside for fellowship one with another, daily walks up the mountain or just taking a quiet time of rest.

In my discussion with a few others, I heard that this was a time where we were challenged to maintain our personal relationship with Jesus Christ, with the body and with each other; to make our testimony one of not just words but a walk of reality. We heard much basic foundation teaching about coming into the fullness of sonship maturity, pressing into the apostolic message that has been delivered to us over the past 30-40 years. We also heard some about the present situation affecting Europe, the invasion of people from Muslim nations that is going to quickly alter the status quo of life as we know it. Spiritually, we can see the time of the release of the locusts from the abyss in Revelation 9 and I believe that prophetically God will be having more to say to us about this quite soon. A communion was shared the last night after the last meeting.

This morning as we left Tursko, we found that we were ”locked in” to the penzion apartment and the only key was outside of our door; but by the grace of God, we were able to direct Radek to the key. Then after he got us to the airport, we discovered that we had cancelled and delayed flights; we are so glad that we arrived early so we could be rebooked on other flights.

Again, we thank each one for your prayers and support.
