Dear Brethren,
We trust this news from the Philippines finds you well and pressing on in the Lord. As we promised last year, we would like to keep you updated on our continued work in the Philippines. Even though Kingdom Message Ministry School came to its closure, we are very blessed to know that the Lord keeps drawing Philippine people to Himself and building His church in Butuan City and its surrounding areas.
The fellowship that had formed from the families and teachers of KMMS continues to gather together. Brother Allan, the school guidance counsellor, feels a strong burden to serve these people. He not only gives the brethren opportunity to gather for the fellowship meetings, but also visits other former KMMS students in their homes to check on their well-being.
Other groups that we have been fellowshipping with over the years, namely those that gather with Brothers Lito, Ben and Edmar, continue to grow in the Lord. The elders meet together on a regular basis for prayer and praise in Sister Merlinda’s home.
Because of the difficult situation in the Philippines caused by the pandemic, we continue with rice and other food supplies distributions. Even though the brethren are very grateful to the Lord for the natural provision, it seems that they are even more grateful for somebody across the ocean to remember them in their struggles. They tell us all the time how much they pray for you all.
The end of last year saw a few of the Philippine islands hit by the Typhoon Odette. Several of our brethren were hit quite severely. Brother Lito lost his own brother in the flooding, Brother Ben’s fellowship building sustained structural damage and several other families’ homes were also damaged. We were able to send money to help Brother Lito with the funeral expenses and also to restore the damaged church building and homes.
Thank you for your continued prayers for the brethren in the Philippines. They are very blessed to be part of the Body of Christ. Rest assured that they are praying for you too.
May the Lord bless you and yours,
Brother Mark
